1. The international docents’ meeting takes place as part of the respective international symposia or congresses. The organisers of the respective national congresses have to provide sufficient space for this in the event schedule, at least 1 ½ hours. All docents present may participate. In voting, the national societies have three votes, the sections two votes.
.The presidents shall issue invitations to the international docents’ meeting at least two months before the event.3 In special cases, an extraordinary international docents’ meeting may be convened, if possible as part of a larger national continuing education event.
.The Board of Directors consists of the President, his/her deputy, who is the Executive Board, and one representative of each of the National Societies and Sections; this person does not have to be the National Chairperson.
.The full Board elects the Executive Board consisting of the President, who manages the operational business in close coordination with the representatives of the National Societies.
.As a rule, the Executive Committee also meets during the international congresses. It can also be convened in the interim in special cases. It represents the IGKIP and the procedure at international congresses and has the task of promoting the method.
