About IGKIP
International Society for Katathym Imaginative Psychotherapy and Imaginative Procedures in Psychotherapy and Psychology (Internationale Gesellschaft für Katathym Imaginative Psychotherapie und Imaginative Verfahren in Psychotherapie und Psychologie)
The IGKIP (German abbreviation) is the umbrella organisation of the individual national societies, working groups and sections for Catathym imaginative psychotherapy and imaginative methods in psychotherapy and psychology. The respective headquarters of the IGKIP is the location of the national society that provides the respective president.
- The promotion of KIP in general, in particular through the exchange of personnel and scientific information between the national societies. The internal growth of the process depends on the exchange of information between the national groupings and their members about their activities and the results of their work.
- The organisation of international congresses at regular intervals. The representation of KIP at national or international psychotherapy congresses should be promoted.
- The harmonisation of further training curricula with the aim of mutual recognition of the relevant content.
- The exchange of lecturers with the aim of international integration and the harmonisation of the process in theory and practice.
- Personnel support for national societies in which the procedure has not existed for long.
